ROLE AND CONTRIBUITION

I was assigned as the only tester in the studio, the job to take care of the QA role of this game, making sure to deliver a quality product while respecting the deadline.

On
A Painter's Tale: Curon, 1950, I was QA Tester. My duties included:

  • Managed game quality assurance.

  • Collaborated with programmers to ensure the game met Technical Requirements Check (TRC) for various platforms.

  • Created high-quality bug reports for effective reproduction and resolution by programmers.

  • Utilized various devkits to ensure consistent quality across multiple platforms.

BUGS

These are some videos about bugs that I contributed to fix by discovering them

COLLISION NOT WORKING

This bug was precious to know that some collision boxes were not placed well into the map, this was bad cause the player could put himself in places where he can't no longer get out, ruining the experience.

ILLUMINATION TOO BRIGHT

Since we thought that illumination in some rooms where not enough, we decided to brighten them up a little. To our surprise when we did it, it looked like a nuclear bomb was thrown out ;)

TRC BREAKER

This was a serious bug that could compromise the results in the lot check cause the controls were not adequate for the Nintendo platform, So when I found this bug I immediately told the leads and we adjusted it with the right controls scheme, resulting in the lot check success.
